I also really enjoy your posts on the forum...they always have great insight. I'd like to drop a note to Doug and was wondering what type of letters get responses (if there are any)? He's such a great designer!! Thanks for all of your hard work!
Webmaster replies: There doesn't seem to be any pattern judging from the various bulletin board posts I've seen from people who have sent fan mail to Doug and received a reply. I think he just replies when he has the time and when a letter happens to strike his fancy.

The theater was the first time I starting REALLY liking his work. I now realize that the way I'd decorate is very similar to his ideas. And I gotta say... I caught the now famous episode
with the crying home owner.
I've only seen one other designer on this
show that made a bigger mess of a room
than Doug did. Brown does nothing for a room
but make it look dark and dreary. It looked
like shit (literally). And what a
prima donna! I don't blame any homeowner for
not wanting to paint brick.....first time a fire
gets to smoking in that fireplace and all the
nice clean white is going to have black soot.
Some designers can do so with common sense and
God forbid....have it be functional, family
friendly and fun. Doug needs to design
for the Beverly Hills or Park Avenue crowds,
not the average family.
Webmaster replies: All points of view are welcome, of course, but I have to wonder: Why visit a fan site for someone you don't like? For example, I can't stand the TV show Survivor, so I never visit that web site — I've got better ways to spend my time!
